Haven creation is possible.
Transforming your home into a haven doesn’t have to be an impossible fantasy. You just need to focus on 3 essential areas:
Your physical haven is your actual home where you live. A lot goes into this place, including cleaning and decorating. This is the most obvious haven you have and the one that catches your attention the most.
While not as obvious as a physical haven, your relational havens are so very important. If and when there’s strain, you'll immediately feel the stress. But when you live at peace with the people in your life, everything feels better.
To experience the peace of a haven, it's vital to remember the spiritual aspect. You were created for so much more than this life, and it's no coincidence we crave havens.
Hi! I’m Hilary
I believe every Christian woman can transform her home into a haven. And as that happens, we’ll change our own corners of the world ... for the better. Join the Home to a Haven movement and I’ll e-mail you encouragement, tips, and resources to help with your haven creation.
Here’s what others are saying about Home to a Haven …
“Thank you so much for caring, and for being such a huge source of wisdom and inspiration in my life, and the lives of countless others. I can’t tell you how many times when I feel like I'm at my wit’s end and can’t handle anything else that I’ll send the bigger kids off to play, turn on something for my toddler to watch, cuddle and feed the baby, and just sit and read posts from your blog. Sometimes one is enough, sometimes if the day’s really rough I'll lose myself in the proverbial ‘pat on the back’ that always seems to be just enough to help me dust myself off and make it through another day.”
“Every blog post that you’ve written has been inspirational to me and has impacted my thinking. I love how strongly you emphasize the fact that Jesus is our one true Haven, beyond all other havens, and that He is our example for making havens. I love how you tie in the relational aspect, as well as the physical aspects, too. The way you have made your home encourages and inspires me to do the same.”
